As long as people don’t change who Jesus (the Word of God) actually is then change is all very good! But…anyone that changes Jesus’ words around and adds their own words becomes the new word of god with a little “g” – they in effect become God, especially if people put more precedence on that person’s words than on the actual Word of God! Isn’t that the very same thing that they have been doing with these new translations of the bible? Anyway, it’s all coming in left right and centre so here is a verse that comes to mind: “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel…” Paul was saying here to watch out for false Jesus’ and this is the problem these days, there are all kinds of false teachings and false Jesus’ creeping in that people need to sober up and take a strong stand against this. This is what the original Children of God stood for and all of this was kept very much OUT back then, you didn’t even let the camel get his nose in the tent, now he appears to be coming in with the whole herd and running away with the tent ha! We have some serious problems!!! You cannot unite people in a tug of war as they all end up on the same side. Good day to you or goodnight, whichever the case may be and God willing day will follow night here as you have in so many words said. GBY Karen

      1. Thanks for your comment Karen Lane. Its 2am on my side of the world so its goodnight over here! I agree with you completely and you make valid points for sure. I guess you would know more about COG than me as I’ve never been a full time member. But the COG/TFI members I know online (Michael Basham, James Japan and yourselves) are marvelous people, and I think you guys have an awesome history of evangelism. God bless

As you say, they are all nice people coming at the high jump from different angles and some from very very different angles! Anyway, I guess I should be wishing you a goodnight/good morning then 🙂

      3. Wow the perspective of the Individual is crucial indeed, as there are so few Family members witnessing online and we’re part of the scraggly bunch of few… hope more join someday and I bet there are already that we don’t know about… how about doing an interview with Simon Peter if Peter and Maria back out? I’m going to contact him next! Bwahaha

“Pick the right guests!” Really??? Not if Ian Clayton is anything to go by so I hope and pray or pray and hope rather that Ian Clayton declines the offer, otherwise I would have to seriously contest that statement of yours as being as erroneous as the man himself is!

      1. Ha, we’ll see.. I personally got a good witness off Ian when miraculously meeting him during a dark period of my life during 2014, (I’m someone who loyally sticks by those who have been there for me in such times, no matter how controversial, aka David Berg) but if you have any personal heroes you would want to see interviewed let me know!

      2. simpletruth4today

I understand that Ian Clayton is a hero of yours but that can very often blind us though can’t it! There is none so blind as those that do not want to see! Best to stick to the Word of Truth and not someone else’s version of the truth however many people say it’s the truth it still doesn’t make it the truth and you will still come away with an empty soul. Btw. John Lennon used to be my hero once but although I still like him I see him in a new light now, both he and Joko Ono turned out to be New Agers, she sadly still is. John Lennon in his day went to India to see a guru and came back with an empty soul as did the rest of the Beatles, George Harrison even got into Hari Krishna , another false Christ figure so where are all the hippies now? They came away with an empty soul and all the would-be gurus back then led them nowhere – how very sad indeed! I’m not against anyone on here but I am a person that will fight for the Truth and fight even harder against a lie. Satan was a liar from the beginning and I hate him as much as he hates me as he’s been fighting me ever since I came on here and still is, he even blocks me comments now! If you keep on speaking the Truth though then Jesus will go with you, even if nobody else does. Spoken in Truth and NOT a lie so help me God!

      3. Interesting, we’ll again if you think of someone you would interview, again, let me know. . . I don’t agree with anyone 100% but the way I see it, these people are all great opportunities to outreach and evangelize and disciple countless more potentials… again when you think of anyone special to you let me know. I’d be interested in interviewing you at some point too, Karen!

As you say that you’ve never heard of Ian Clayton then I think that I should take this opportunity to enlighten you or anyone else that reads this as to what he actually believe as far as I understand. I thoroughly listened to one of his YTs this morning which is of particular concern to me, here’s the actual YT: Ian Clayton – Splitting Soul & Spirit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e88F69lTYsQ

What he appears to be saying in this YT is that you can have your soul and body, as he puts it, in total subjection to your spirit. He appears to believe that he is three people in one, the reality is that we are two in one if you like and that is that we are body and spirit and that’s all. Ian Clayton believes that you can have so much power over your apparent soul and body by releasing your spirit, he also says that Jesus did this, he says that Jesus released His Spirit on the cross and that Jesus’ body bowed it’s head and I’m assuming here that he means that Jesus’ body was in subjection to His Spirit that was at that point then no longer in the body, he says that Jesus had lowered the frequency of the body somehow and though He appeared as dead to other people, He wasn’t really dead!!! IC then says that Jesus’ soul went to Sheol (the underworld) so now the picture you get is that Jesus Spirit has gone up, I imagine to be with God, His Soul is in Sheol and His body which is really still alive although it appears dead is in the tomb; three days later the Spirit and Soul returns to the body which is really still alive!!! This really sums up Ian Clayton’s whole doctrine, the doctrine being that Jesus never really died on the cross, that Jesus was some kind of super spirit and that He had so much power over His apparent soul and body that Jesus could tran-srelocate, walk through walls, fly etc. IC says that what we need to do is visualise an iron wedge, bang this wedge between your soul and spirit, you do this by picturing your soul and spirit as being two pieces of wood that need to be separated; you imagine yourself banging away at this iron wedge which can take up to three weeks and finally, through the power of God’s Word in all of this you will release your spirit from your soul, so much so that you will have your whole apparent soul and body in subjection to your now super powerful spirit; he gives you the impression that you now feel so super powerful in your new spirit being that you can now make your body walk through walls, put your hand through walls, and you can fly all around the world; he says he’s been doing this for 18 years, flying in his body all around the world “literally” which he calls trans-relocating although he says in another vid that nobody has ever seen him do this!!!???

The main problem with all of this is that he is saying that this is what Jesus taught and showed us that we should all be doing this. He is saying that Jesus didn’t really die on the cross but He only appeared as dead to other people, he says that Jesus wasn’t dead in the true sense of the word dead. Now if that was true then you should be doing as IC says you should do and that is that you should tear up all of your old theology, this to me means that I would have to tear up every single page of the whole bible, I would have to reject Jesus’ full testimony that He indeed DID die on the cross. Jesus’ LIFELESS body was taken down from the cross and was placed in a tomb, Jesus was DEAD in the full sense of the word DEAD, He was as dead as you and I would be if we died and He rose again the third day and so we ALL have salvation. I for one am in no way and am not tearing up this so-called old theology, I totally and utterly reject what Ian Clayton is asking me to do. Sad to say IC is teaching some kind of Eastern religion which he has dreamed up himself. On a humorous note but not a personal note, he reminds me of the Buzz Lightyear character in the kiddos film Toy Story; Buzz Lightyear in all fairness was a likeable character who had some kind of delusions of grandeur in that he believed he could fly, his only example of this was that he was falling with style. Sad to say, Ian Clayton is falling with style and he is taking others with him. I do not in any way mean this as a personal slight against anyone who follows him but merely to try and help people to see that this is some kind of fallacy and fable and a serious error for anyone that is seeking True salvation!
